Medical Staff Coordinator – 20 Washington Square, Worcester

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Support billing staff by maintaining and sending regular reports on provider credentialing status and insurance enrollment. Coordinates work and provides support to New England Market Provider Enrollment staff. Assures dues and fees are paid for providers joining through MWHCA/AHO or CMIPA. Request Hospital letter from Medical Staff Services Department as required. Coordinate building of files and provides support for advanced practitioner On-Boarding process. Assist on boarding staff by obtaining any missing documents required for credentialing, re-credentialing, terminations, and insurance enrollment. Maintains a list of NPI number for providers as well as active and terminated providers. Generates on boarding announcement, foot prints etc. Request Malpractice Certificates and distribute accordingly. Maintains filing system in office and keeps files current sending old files to off -site storage. Monitor status of hospital privileges for new providers through contacting medical staff services and communicating to staff at MWPS and SVPS. Maintain roster of all new and termed providers. Develops and monitors a system of tracking credentialing and enrollment information. Assist in the implementation of procedures and policies related to the enrollment, credentialing and re-credentialing processes. Provides general administrative duties to support the credentialing/provider enrollment process.

Medical Coding Specialist – 20 Washington Square, Worcester

Under general supervision, this position abstracts and codes patient records in compliance with coding, billing and data collection guidelines of the organization. Responsibilities: Determines the most appropriate diagnosis after a thorough review of the medical records. Works closely with practice staff with regards to coding and assignment of a MS-DRGs (Diagnosis Related Group) and APCs (Ambulatory Payment Classification). Codes medical records using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding rules and guidelines. Ensures through and compliant coding to support patient records and submission of billing for payment. Accurately sequences diagnostic and procedural codes and assigns MSDRG/APC as appropriate. Provides codes to various departments upon request. Enters and validates charges and diagnoses with medical documentation provided. Compares charges on accounts with the procedures coded, identifies any discrepancies, and collaborates with Coding Manager as needed to rectify the account.

Requirements include: CPC through AAPC, a minimum of 2 years of coding experience, high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred), and proficient computer skills.

Nurse Practitioner – 435 King Street, Franklin

Under the direction of an assigned supervising physician, the Nurse Practitioner will provide professional medical care in a primary care outpatient setting.  The Nurse Practitioner will act as a resource to staff in the office and support the needs of the Physicians around care management, care coordination, and episodic healthcare. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of NP experience in a outpatient setting preferred.

Candidates must be graduates of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and are required to have an ANCC certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, a Massachusetts license for advanced practice nursing, a Massachusetts controlled substance registration and a DEA License.
