Steven Bornstein, DO
"In caring for individuals from newborns to seniors, I emphasize wellness skills aimed at helping patients to enhance their health at all stages of life."
Dr. Steven Bornstein, a Family Practitioner and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, provides traditional medical services, including routine physicals and urgent care, with a focus on preventive health care and a ‘whole person’ approach.
“When I visit with my patients, I ask them questions that relate to their day-to-day life, not just the symptoms they came in for,” said Dr. Bornstein. “I want to get to know who they are, what they do for work, their outside life, responsibilities and interests. I want to learn how their lifestyle relates to or affects their overall health and/or potential for disease or problems.”
Dr. Bornstein was voted No. 1 Physician in Millis in Wicked Local’s 2013 Reader's Choice Awards, a survey created to award recognition to the people and establishments who bring outstanding service and value to the local community.
Board certified, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery degree from Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Dr. Bornstein places an emphasis on preventative care, not only to help in the early detection of disease but also to enhance a patient’s well-being and quality of life. “It’s the day-to-day habits that make a significant difference in how one feels,” he said. “Good food and nutrition, plenty of physical activity, and restorative sleep are all simple but essential components for overall wellness.”
