As a Specialist in Internal Medicine, Dr. Asimah Qayyum believes in building strong relationships with her patients and encouraging them to be proactive about their healthcare. Dr. Qayyum practices at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.

Dr. Qayyum follows the advice she offers to her patients by incorporating healthy habits into her own lifestyle.  “I lead by example. I lead a physically active life outside of my obligations at work. I exercise at least 4-5 times a week through various activities.”

Through the constant stream of information from electronic devices, Dr. Qayyum is able to stay current with the most recent medical trends to ensure the best care for her patients. “With new information available at my fingertips, I am able to provide my patients with the most up-to-date treatments. I customize the information I receive so my patient’s specific needs are met.”

Dr. Qayyum received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore Medical Center at Salem Hospital in MA and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Massachusetts Medical and Health Center in MA. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Qayyum has 10 years of experience practicing medicine. She is also a member of the American Medicine Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
