“I‘m here to help my patients through every medical concern and improve their well-being, whether it’s through medical technology and treatment or encouraging healthy life-style choices to achieve the best outcome for their health.”

Dr. Melissa Palma is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist at the Framingham location of MetroWest Physician Services. Her expertise includes general gynecology for woman of all ages and both general and high-risk obstetrics care.  She also specializes in the use of minimally-invasive surgical procedures.

Dr. Palma stresses the importance of enabling patients to play a more active role in their health, opening up channels through which they can have more information to assist with health decisions. “Actively involving patients in their medical decisions, with appropriate guidance, is one of the best ways to provide better medical care to everyone.”

As a native and resident of the MetroWest community, Dr. Palma’s patient relationship extends beyond their gynecological needs. “Having been part of this community since birth, I feel a strong tie to the people here. I get to know each of my patients, listening to their issues and making an effort to address everything with as much detail as possible.”

Prior to joining MetroWest Physician Services, Dr. Palma was employed at a Obstetrics and Gynecology private practice in Framingham.  She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Saint Joseph Hospital/ Resurrection Health Care in Chicago, Illinois, and received her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where she currently teaches as an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr Palma got called out to help deliver a baby as I was signing in so I had to reschedule my Appt. however I can't blame her or anyone for that! That was on a Thursday and Dr Palma told the receptionist to reschedule ALL patients affected by this for the next Monday and that was perfect for me and fast... so I can't complain and they were all very apologetic and nice about it including Dr Palma when I saw her the following Monday...
